The Big Pineapple
The Big Pineapple is 16 metre high and was originally opened on the 15 of August 1971. It is situated on a 165 hectare site on the way to Noosa from Brisbane off the Bruce Hwy. The Big Pineapple Market is one of the biggest all weather markets on the Sunshine Coast. The lively atmosphere of this iconic tourist attraction has endeared the market to locals for only 2 years; however it continues to grow every week with more and more people wanting to build their businesses by promoting themselves at The Big Pineapple. The Market also offers the original cane train which gives mum time for a coffee and the kids a ride on the train. Just a stone’s throw away from our holiday accommodation Noosa, you’ll find the Noosa Harbour Marina Village – a retail and restaurant marine complex comprising of 5 restaurants, café, wine bar, specialty shops, boat hire, deep sea fishing charters, ferry cruises, river fishing tours, house boat hire, and an art gallery. Also, the Noosa Marina is home to Sunday Markets that features live music and local arts and crafts. You can also try shopping at Australia’s leading tourist shopping attraction- Eumundi Markets. Shoppers will find a wide range of products and goods sold at Eumundi Market including arts and crafts, fashion and jewelleries, home wares and many more.
