You’ll find our Noosaville accommodation Gympie Terrace just beyond the busy hum of the restaurants on Gympie Terrace. Here at Ivory Palms Resort we’re far away enough from the action at Hilton Terrace (which is the next street along from where Gympie Terrace meets the roundabout and turns into Hilton Terrace), yet close enough to walk if a night out is planned.
Shopping in Noosaville
You’ll find the Noosaville Fish Market just across the road, where you can conveniently pick up a bag fish and chips, or try the calamari. They have a reputation for doing a mean set of squid rings. Just a hundred metres left of Ivory Palms Resort is Hilton Esplanade Noosaville where you can take a delightful stroll along the banks of the Noosa River. Continue along the Hilton Esplanade and it’s a five minute walk to Tewantin. Another block over is the Tewantin Woolworths supermarket. If you really want to check the price of fish, the Noosa Harbour Fish Market have the usual servings for a fish and chippery, but they also sell the catch of the day. There’s usually Mooloolaba prawns available, so there is bound to be a barbeque on at least one of the evenings.
Things to do in Tewantin
In Tewantin you’ll find the Tewantin Noosa RSL on Doonella Street. Just the spot for a quiet drink. Tewantin is also a great destination for golfers which is where you’ll find the Noosa Golf Club, and right beside it is the Noosa Heritage Park which is also the entrance to the Tewantin State Forest where there are plenty of shared tracks for hikers and mountain bikers. There are also horse ride tours you can take in Tewantin.
If you’re staying for Sunday, the Noosa Marina Tewantin Markets are worth a look for clothes, arts and crafts and fresh product and smallgoods.
